Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters (Queen Latifah, Sophie Okonedo and Alicia Keys), Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping.

Fox Searchlight began principal filming for the screen adaptation of The Secret Life of Bees on January 9th in North Carolina.
