INTERVIEW | Rodney Winters
Rodney, describe yourself for our visitors.
I am a father of two. I have a passion for teaching and preaching, and a burden for seeing hurting people made whole. I am a laid-back person who enjoys listening to gospel music. I stay busy with family, ministry, teaching at the college level, and entrepreneurial endeavors.
How do you find time to connect with God?
I have to make time to connect with God. Otherwise, I would never find time. I have a hectic daily schedule, so it’s important to prioritize time with God. I’m currently reading through the Bible again this year, although I admit I am behind schedule.
INTERVIEW | Billie Jean King
Billie Jean, describe yourself for our visitors.
Hmm…I see myself as being focused, with a definite purpose in sight. I understand that my destiny will not be achieved without direction and guidance from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I’m resilient, I do not allow past failures, struggles, and disappointments from friends or loved one’s to alter or put a damper on my dreams. I love offering encouraging words or ideas to individuals, especially women, that will help them in identifying their God given purpose in their life. My daughter refers to me as a “free spirit;” I guess I’ll have to agree with her. I love to have fun, I possess a great sense of humor and I love…to daydream.
How do you find time to connect with God?
Chuckle…That is not an option! I just do it!

And when I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood. I said to you in your blood, ‘Live’! Ezekiel 16:6
We are God’s people and at some point in our lives, we are faced with struggles. They can be the result of a broken heart, a failed or abused relationship, rejection, finances, children, shattered dreams, divorce, pride, jealousy…we all have them, they come in different shapes and sizes, and each of us handle them in different ways.
INTERVIEW | Derwin L. Gray
Derwin, describe yourself for our visitors.
I am head over heels in love with my wife Vicki, the papa of Presley (13) and Jeremiah (9), and the Lead Pastor of Transformation Church near Charlotte, N.C. (www.tc521.org). Oh yeah, I played in the NFL for six seasons (Colts 1993-1997, Panthers 1998). I like to fish and play golf. I am much better at fishing than golf.
BLOG TOUR | Jean Alicia Elster
Formerly an attorney, I am a professional writer with a focus on writing for children, middle graders, and young adults. I am also an editor, essayist, writing instructor, and grant writer. While wearing each of these hats is fulfilling in its own way, I find my greatest joy in writing for youth and young adults.
How do you find time to connect with God?
My most focused time with God is during my morning prayer and devotional time. I find that if I do not have this one-on-one time in the morning, it gets crowded out of my day. So, I make sure that either before or after my morning physical exercise routine, I have my private time with God.
INTERVIEW | Rhonda McKnight
Rhonda, describe yourself for our visitors.
I’m a divorced, working mother of two sons, ages 4 and 18. I love to read Christian fiction and suspense. I rarely have time for television, but when I do you might find me watching The Closer, 24, or Criminal Minds. I enjoy upbeat praise and worship by any member of the Clark Family, Kirk Franklin, and Fred Hammond. The teaching ministries of Bishop TD Jakes, Bishop Donald Hillard, and Joyce Meyers have added to my spiritual growth. I’m the vice-president of a great writers’ group here in Atlanta. I also have a free-lance fiction editing service. Interested parties may learn more about my services at my website. But most of all I enjoy spending time in South Carolina with my parents, children and extended family. South Carolina has the best barbeque.
