I have been a teacher for the NYC Dept of Education for over 10 years. I published my first book titled “A Man in Transition” in June of 2008 through the publishing company I created called Bravin Publishing. I have four children and possibly more. Yes I said possibly more. I wasn’t always the man I am now. I was a man that lived his life attempting to bed down as many women as I could. Before I knew the Lord I was trapped into believing life was connected to getting next to every woman in a sexual manner. I would like to believe I am as complicated as many others feel about themselves, but I am not.

At some point, all of us get a little tired. Whether it’s something you’ve been doing all of your life, or something that you’re beginning to do that seems to beat you down at times. It can be a physical tiredness, or one that comes from the inside. God gives us a way to recoup from the physical tiredness (sleep and rest), but what about the spiritual tiredness, the spiritual exhaustion we may experience?

Well, I am a fun and silly guy. I’m a big kid, at times. I enjoy being a loner and hanging out with friends. I am a single father to my teenaged daughter and we enjoy spending time together.

On the fun side, I like: amusement parks; attending sporting events; comedy shows or movies; playing video games; watching old shows like Sanford and Son; and watching cartoons.

On the more serious side, I like: reading the Bible, history books, political books, health related information, finance/investment, and a host of other topics. I enjoy writing and teaching on various subjects. I also enjoy having intellectually challenging conversations, nice restaurants, and just laying around doing nothing. I am generally very laid back and relaxed. I am very passionate about sound doctrine (the Word of God) and politics.

When I try to think of something to say about me to others, I always think of this phrase: "I’m just a simple man with a simple plan." That plan is to try the balance between the practical and the interesting. I am a husband of 5 years in what I recently found out is called as a "blended family". I have two children by marriage and another by the birds and the bees. I claim all of them equally. After helping with homework, discipline and quality time, they are mine all mine… I work a 9 to 5 that feels more like an 8 to 8 as a retail sales consultant for a major wireless carrier.
