INTERVIEW | Aisha (A.Life) Gant

K Aisha, describe yourself for our visitors.

Wow! What can I say? (LOL) I am who I am. I am a mother of 2 girls, I am an author/poet, I am an owner/operator of a salon, I am an entrepreneur(I created and patented the Ears Free Hair Wrap), and I am a personal trainer (who needs personal training)(LOL) BUT MOST OF ALL, I am a child of God with a sense of humor; who believes if I can’t smile or laugh about any and every situation, I must remove myself immediately! I love laughter and because laughter doeth good like a medicine, I figure; I can’t complain about anything! If I did, it wouldn’t change nothing ‘no way!’ (smiles) Just be happy, On purpose!

Wow…umm I”m a spunky, energetic down to earth chick who loves God, my hubby, family, words green living and lotsa things in between. I’m trusting God to show me how to write, read and promote books full time.

How do you find time to connect with God?

I never find the time…I have to make it. Life is hectic for everyone…always something else to be done, so I make myself take moments throughout the day to love on Him. He is my first point of contact in the morning and last conversation at night. I’m not real deep with it, we talk, I read his book, then I grow.

I’m an author and magazine co-owner. I love to write, it keeps me sane. When things are getting to me I love to escape into the literary world either by reading or writing. Sometimes I do a little bit of both. I also love to sing, and I’m very active with my church choir and praise team. Lastly, I’m a single Mom of a teenaged son, who is also an aspiring author. He’s been published in a few Christian magazines.

How to Become a True Christian and a Distinguished Gentleman

image How to Become a True Christian and a Distinguished Gentleman by Alvin C. Romer

I was asked recently a series of questions in reference to Christian behavior and how men should carry themselves as such. During the course of eliciting a favorable and balanced answer it dawned on me that the validity of the questions caused for a more in-depth response. As I looked around taking inventory of behavior patterns in men, I found that few gave a true indication of not only being gentlemen, but Christian value either was lacking or non-existent. To be sure, Christians are expected to behave in certain ways, but does behaving in those certain ways make one a Christian? More important, if a person fails to live up to those certain behaviors, what formulaic mannerisms should they be abiding?  Or, is the assessment "lesser" have any bearing on how one should live on a whole?

INTERVIEW | Alvin C. Romer

image Alvin, describe yourself for our visitors.

Early in life I was expected to be a leader and proficient in the things that would define me. I found solace in reading and sustenance in writing. By nature, I’m a sponge for knowledge…a man of many words schooled on ways of wit and wisdom willing to share my talents and gifts. I consider myself to be outgoing, mainly a person thirsty for knowledge; a stickler for order, one that follows through on protocol and expect others to do the same; loves the out of doors, and a person with a keen sense of perception where discernible options, deductive reasoning, logic and common sense come together to reveal a soul of a man that truly cares!
