Say In A Word

Becky Dewitt (44) Say In A Word

Many in the Body of Christ have not received the revelation of the greatness that is within. “Do you not know that your are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (I Corinthians 3:16).  When we (the flesh) die daily and allow His Spirit to have complete control, we began a walk on a journey that gives voice to the power within the Sons of God.

The faith, the absolute trust and confidence in the power of the Creator, who is within you, has a voice. God has given each of His sons a measure of faith that enables them to complete the assignments that are given. Your faith speaks according to the level of Word that is engrafted within you. Can Jesus find the faith within the Sons of God that will manifest and make a difference in the earth?

The month of February is a month which there is a great celebration of love especially on Valentine’s Day. But there is a greater celebration of love that occurs every day of the year and it is eternal love. It is the love of the Father for each and every one of us. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).

God is so awesome that at the beginning of creation, even though He already knew the outcome, He made provision to reconcile us back into His presence. Prior to our existence in this natural world, we were with Him in the supernatural. The minute that we are born, the enemy targets us for his usage. God’s love for us was the reason that He provided the access that overrides the world system from which the enemy operates. In other words, there is not a reason for anyone who comes into this world to miss the opportunity to be and return into His presence.

Existing In the Next Dimension

As I was mediating on the title, and the timing of this writing, the Lord brought back to my memory an act of faith declaration that I made in 1989 before I was a Believer. I remembered on New Year’s Eve night going to church for one hour before I went to the party. Before I went to the service and during the service , I told the Lord that I had spent the entire decade of the 80’s on drugs and alcohol, and that I would not enter into the 90’s or even waste another decade of my life in that condition. Well, the result was the conviction of the Holy Spirit which led to my salvation in 1991. There was never a day of rehab or a counseling program. It was a day of declaration and one step towards Jesus that was my deliverance. The power of life and death was on my tongue even before I was saved or knew where the scripture was that operated and produced the result in my life! (Proverbs 18:21).

The Christ in Christmas can never be substituted.

Every year during this season, many are celebrating the birth of Jesus. From an early age, we have heard the word “Christ” in Christmas, celebrating the Gift with gifts. Retailers have tried to replace the word “Christ” with an X. The have even made an attempt to change the phrase “Merry Christmas” to something that would be politically correct. But the seed of the word “Christ” is so planted deep in our hearts that even the unbeliever will rise up in defense against any change.

My Father’s Eyes

My Father’s Eyes

At the moment of your birth, several comments were made as to who you may have appeared to look like in your physical features. Time brought on many changes in your appearance, as you developed to favor someone else in the family. I have always been told my entire life that I looked just like one of my father’s sisters. Early in my life, many times I was mistakenly identified as her daughter. But at a recent family reunion, I heard something that I have never heard before. Someone was looking at the family pictures on the wall and said to me, “you have your father’s eyes”.

Recently, I attended a two week revival at my church headquarters in Charleston that challenged me to do something in a way that I never even imagined. The challenge is to win souls for Jesus Christ, but with a new compassion. You may say that as a Believer, that is a part of the Great Commission. But like many in the Body of Christ, I was beginning to fall asleep on the pew inside the four walls. Because of the hunger within, I had gotten tired of church as usual. I know deep within that there is more that we have yet to experience.
