How do you find time to connect with God?

I get up around 3 or 4am in the morning, when the house is all quiet and I can meditate and talk with God without any distractions and center my soul before the start of my day. I find this time to be very serene and a time when I can not only talk to God but I can also hear from him so that I can know where he wants me to be.

Who are your favorite authors? Favorite books?

The Bible…The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman

TD Jakes, Paula White, Joyce Myers

Tell us about your journey to publication.

Well it started with me connecting with my now Publisher through Facebook, Mr. Leroy Mckenzie Jr. We talked about doing the book at first and I was overjoyed about the oppertunity to write my story. We started discussing what I wanted to say and then we started to work on how I could say it. The writing process was all new to me so I depended on him to guide me through the process and making my vision a reality.

Tell us about your current book, Back From Broken…..A Dancer’s Journey Back To Wholeness?

BACK FROM BROKEN is the story of one woman’s journey back to wholeness. It is one woman’s pursuit to getting rid of what was holding her back from being who God has called her to be. This story will give you the heartbreak and bitterness that one holds onto but decides to let go of so that Wholeness can begin. This story lets you know that you can become whole again but it will take work. Your days of anger are over, your days of bitterness are over, your days of being the tail and not the head are through!!!! You are a mighty child of God and you can begin to act like it. Don’t hold back and you cannot hold it in, release it and be who you are called to be. You are whole again and there is nothing that can break you. If you ever feel as if you are slipping back into that bitterness hole again you can pick this book up and begin to go back and read it until you feel your strength coming back again. You will not be defeated. YOU CANNOT LOSE!!!

This book will enlighten you, teach you what you need to know and empower you, which is equip you with the tools that you need in order to walk in your wholeness, the last thing that I hope that this book will do for you is to impact you. I hope that it impacts you in such a way that you can go out and be who it is that you are purposed to be and do the same as this book will do for you. It doesn’t have to be in the form of a book. It doesn’t have to be in the form of teaching or preaching but all it has to be is a word to someone, a hand up to someone or even telling someone about what you have made it through. I charge you to believe in someone so much so that they believe that they can become who it is that you are becoming and they see in themselves what I see in you. You are that great woman, you are that great man, you are destined for greatness and don’t let anybody tell you who you can’t become. The bitterness has been laid to rest, the anger has been cast aside and you are free to be healed. You have become whole again because you have made it BACK FROM BROKEN!!!!

How did you come up with ideas for this book?

It was just telling my story and figuring out the way in which it could be told. We worked on the table of contents and then we broke down each chapter to figure out what it should say to someone.

What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book?

That unforgiveness can stop your process of reaching your wholeness and your freedom to be fully who you are to be. Without Forgiveness there cannot be wholeness. The beginning of healing is in loving yourself enough to forgive.

What’s next for you?

Another book. My mission is to write a children’s book. I am also am doing workshops that focus on getting back to whole.

Please tell us where we can connect with you online.
