I’ve been doing hair for almost 2 decades and have served as a therapist to my clients for years. The advice I give is pretty straight forward and Godly. I love when my clients tell me their lives have changed for the good when they take my advice.
I started writing poetry when I was in junior high school and have been writing ever since.
How do you find time to connect with God?
I connect with God when I first wake up. I pretty much pray all day long so I’m never disconnected from God.
Who are your favorite authors? Favorite books?
Eric jerome Dickey, Mary Morrison, and Terry McMillan.
I had a good friend who assisted me with picking a publisher, editor & graphic designer. Then I used a photographer friend for my book covers & he picked some models for me. One model is actually a client. The journey to publication was kinda rough both times. My first editor couldn’t spell & my second editor casued me stress due to the critiquing process. I didn’t experience that on the first go around, so I had to learn & grow from it. I now have an appreication for criticism.

How did you come up with ideas for this book?
I was in a short whirlwind relationship that had so much drama, 2 friends told me on the same day that I had to write a book about it. Even though that story plays a small part in the book, it served as my inspiration. With all the stories that I have stored in my memory, it all fell into place. I added drama to the stories from my clients, myself, friends and family. And that’s what makes my book a page turner!
