I am from Jersey City, New Jersey, but moved to Sumter, South Carolina with my parents when I was five years old. I have three siblings: one sister and two brothers. Writing has been my safe haven for expression for as long as I can remember. Over my lifetime, I have had 7 surgeries that came from various health issues and through those times I have found that writing and prayer pushed me through each time. I have been a member of Love Covenant Church, since March 2007. I am very involved within my church and I enjoy Karate and volunteering.
How do you find time to connect with God?
When I wake up in the morning (even before I get out of bed) I lay there and mediate on Him and His goodness. Even throughout the day I talk to Him, no matter if I’m washing dishes, cleaning up, or even on the computer; I always find a way to talk to him.

A nervous and scary Journey. As I came closer and closer to finishing my book, I began to learn more and more about what was expected of me, and that made me more nervous, but now that I’m close to the end; I can say that God is really, really with me because I am less nervous then I use to be.
How Do I Pray to God? A Children’s Prayer Guide is a book for children that do not know how to prayer or really don’t know what to pray for. Most children today already know the routine prayers. The one you pray before you go to bed and the one you say before you eat your dinner, but children now a days need to know more than just those two prayers. They need to know how to pray within a world that doesn’t see them as innocent children anymore. The prayers within this book will give them a starting point on what to pray for. The book consists of different words (ex. Pray), a definition of the words, a description that goes along with the words, a prayer that coincides with the words, and a scripture reference.
What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book?
When you put God first in everything you do, and do what He wants you to do then the promises he has set for you will manifest.
What’s next for you?
I am currently working on my new book, How can I please God? It’s about a boy who woke up one morning with a question on his mind, How can I please God? and throughout his day he hears different ways he can please God. I’m expecting it to be out by July of 2014, if not earlier.
