Shon, describe yourself for our visitors.

I am a Husband, Father, Author of four books and owner of Never Again Ministries which promotes Marriage Enhancement and Holistic Relationships. I love to read and I am a big fan of NFL Football and UFC Fights

How do you find time to connect with God?

I’m a morning person so the earlier I can study my Word the better conversations and revelations I have with God. Plus reading my Word in the morning sets the tone  on my thoughts throughout the day

Do you have a favorite bible verse and or quote you wish to share?

My favorite quote is: “Discipline yourself now, if not someone else will do it to you later”

Favorite Scripture is: Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what he has made crooked? –Eccl. 7:13

That scripture always help me to remember that everything won’t go my way so I learned to trust God

Who are your favorite authors? Favorite books?

Dr. Myles Munroe, Archibald Hart, and Andy Stanley.  Any books those authors write are my favorite books

Tell us about your journey to publication.

It was tough for me when I wrote my first book in 2008. I didn’t know anyone who had written a book who could have helped me along the journey. I learned so much from my first book . Now I know what to do and what not to do. The more I wrote and published it got easier for me over time

Tell us about your current book.

The book is entitled WISDOM: Preventing Problems Before They Happen. In this book, I talk about how we can avoid so much stress, heartache, and arguments, yet in our rebellious nature we see trouble coming and we decide to take that path

What influenced you to write this book?

After coaching so many marriages I kept seeing the same pattern among husbands and wives. Simple things they argue about like taking out the trash or washing the dishes. In my mind I’m thinking “If you know she’s going to get upset about you not taking out the trash, why don’t you do it ahead of time to prevent an unnecessary argument?”

What do you want readers to learn from your book?

I want readers to learn from my book is we have to take the time to think before we decide to do something. There are consequences to our actions weather good or bad. We live in a society where we do things simply out of habit…even if it’s destructive.

What’s next for you?

My wife and I are hosting our first Marriage Retreat October 25-27 in Payson, Arizona. We will be in a cabin, 5 acres of land and over 6,500 sq ft. We are going to discuss all the tough topics in marriage from blended families, money and sex. It’s going to be life changing!
