A Letter To My Pain
A Letter To My Pain
by Damainion Ewell
Dear Pain,
For many years now, I have toiled day and night to unravel myself from out of your clutches. No matter how hard I would pull away, you would push and force yourself upon me all the more. My feet could not carry me away fast enough, as you would pick up the pace with every step that I took. No matter what big boulder I found to hide underneath, the strength of your arms were always strong enough to lift it and shine your bright light on me once again. Many miles have I traveled, and with every inch that I moved, you seemed to be lurking in darkness somewhere close by. There was no attainable restraining order to compel you to keep your distance. There were no bodyguards I could hire so when you came to my doorstep, they could forcibly remove you from the premises. There were no private investigators to hire to track your steps for a change. There is not a Lojack system made that can hunt you down as you are on the move.
What Type of Race Are YOU Running for the Lord?
What Type of Race Are YOU Running for the Lord?
by Alvin C. Romer
If life can be akin to a race, it’s my opinion that it would be a marathon as opposed to a sprint. Life is too short to just race for speed. It’s all about endurance and pacing oneself to deal with the stamina needed to live a good life. Racing toward a goal or having aspirations of being the best you can is not uncommon in a common world full of iniquity where scales are not balanced for all things good.
Lord, Increase Our Faith
Lord, Increase Our Faith
by Sam Livingston

Ever wondered where your faith would measure on a faith scale? No seriously what would it measure on a God faith scale? Most of us would probably rate ourselves much higher than the actual reading. The truth of the matter is that we boast faith but when we are tested we often fail.
One day in a teaching session with his disciples Jesus began talking about forgiving. “Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!” (Lk 17:1). Jesus said that offences will come. I don’t care how isolated we live from society there will always be opportunity to sin because people and the adversary will put stumbling blocks before you. Somebody is going to offend you, somebody is going to cross your path plus the will to sin is always present. This is why we must terminate the old sin nature daily.

Tips For Living Victoriously in 2010
by Rev. Tresmaine R. Grimes. PhD
To live victoriously in 2010, we must get in line with God’s will for our lives. If we do not line up with God’s will for us, we will spend our year “beating the air” and accomplishing nothing of value. Every woman’s goal for 2010 should be that she NEVER wastes another second of time on things that are not going to produce ZOE, the God-kind of life.

INTERVIEW | Pamela D. Rice
Pamela, describe yourself for our visitors.
I’ll try to make this interesting. I am really one of those happy-go-lucky types.. I laugh and smile a lot. You know, the person who gets out of bed every morning singing. (“I heard the voice of Jesus say…”) Yes, I do have bad days, but I work my way through them. (Help me Lawd!) Although I am a country girl through and through, (yee-haa), I would feel just as comfortable walking the red carpet in Hollywood .
