INTERVIEW | Dominique Watson

Dominique, describe yourself for our visitors.

I’m a published author. Business owner and Literary Service provider. I own From A Writer’s POV Online magazine for writers. I conduct interviews, reviews and more to help authors, writers and business owners with their careers. I’m also a mom and wife. In college getting my AA in Psychology. I design jewelry as well.

How do you find time to connect with God?

God is the reason I have everything in my life. I spend alone time with Him as much as possible. Remember scriptures, praying and praising Him all the time. I remind myself that all the things I have in my life that are good are from Him.

Do you have a favorite bible verse and or quote you wish to share?

Proverbs 13:4 "The soul of a lazy man desires and has nothing, but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich"

Who are your favorite authors? Favorite books?

I love James Patterson. I like Nikki Turner and Deja King. I don’t have any favorite books at the moment. But those authors are my favorites.

Tell us about your journey to publication.

Well I’ve published 4 books. Too Much Untold is my 4th book but first Urban Fiction Novel. It took a long time to bring it into publication. This book had to be perfect in my eyes.

Tell us about your current book.

My current book is "Too Much Untold." It’s my first Urban Fiction Novel. It’s about four females who are going through their own personal issues while being friends. The ladies are faced with trials and tribulations that face us on a regular bases. Some of the issues the ladies do not know they have. It’s filled with lies, betrayal, friendship, family and the foundation of the Lord.

How did you come up with ideas for this book?

WOW I don’t know. I just knew I wanted to write a novel and I wanted four females as the main characters. The different storylines are very unique. Some storylines collide a little and keep you on your toes. I like to bring a little mystery to my books as well.

What influence you to write this book?

I wanted to inspire the young crowd. People my age and younger. I write inspirational books. A lot of people my age are not picking up inspirational books. They like a lot of drama. So I kinda put the two together. Being sure that the reader was still getting the inspiration I felt they needed.

Did you have a favorite character(s)? Who and why?

My favorite character in this book is Ari. She’s the link between all the friends. She’s strong, outgoing and loves her mother. She found a relationship with God on her own. She’s been through a lot in her life so it gives her strength. She is more mature than the other ladies.

What’s next for you?

Currently I’ve decided to offer a few literary services-Publishing/Manuscript Coach, editing, proofreading and more. I’m working on about 3 books and editing my next 2 books. I’m continuing to work on From A Writer’s POV; give my readers and subscribers what they need. The POV Lounge for From a Writer’s POV is growing very fast. It’s a daily Must Read!
