THE JOURNEY | The Reward of Revelation

The Reward of Revelation
by Becky DeWitt

Secrets, secrets, secrets. Everyone has secrets, even God. He has so many secrets that our human mind will never be able to comprehend, as “His thoughts are not our thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8). But He would love to share His secrets with His friends. Are you a friend that He can entrust a powerful life changing thought of the universe with? He has secrets of your past, your present, and your future, as well as others.  The key is being in a position of trust. Whatever it is, it will be so awesome that you cannot even utter a word. You will only be able to ponder and meditate until the time of the release.

One of the seven places that Jesus shed His blood was His head or brow when they placed a plaited, twisted crown of thorns upon Him. The piercing of His brow and even the back parts of His head produced a blood sacrifice circling the whole head for the entire mind of the Believer. In Genesis, chapter 3, Adam fell and lost authority in the Garden of Eden causing the ground to be cursed to bring forth thorns and thistles.

Thorns grow to choke. Choking hinders growth and development taking the life out so therefore, our thoughts become limited. The fall of Adam, the sin, caused our minds to be choked, yielding no fruit of true spiritual revelation. Even today, when the Word of God is spoken or sown into the atmosphere, the enemy comes immediately to steal it through various methods. (Mark 4:15).

The crown of thorns was twisted and plaited, which is where the mind of the Believer was prior to the salvation process. We have the opportunity to have an elevated thought life. We must develop the mind of Christ because this is where the battle is fierce with the enemy. But it is also where the victory is.

Many have often heard the term ‘stinking thinking’. It is basically duplicating the thoughts of the enemy. Once he injects and infects with the seed of his thoughts and it produces fruit, unless you cast down the vain imagination. These thoughts are completely opposite and contrary to the Word of God.

The mind is the place of spiritual creation, that is why we need the ‘mind of Christ’, having His anointed thoughts. Our thoughts have a magnetic force and will attract ideas for the possibility of manifestation. We need to be in right alignment in our thoughts so that God can release His thoughts and ideas just like He did with Adam before the fall. Jesus shed His blood as a sacrifice not only for our salvation, but also for us to have His power in our mind. The crown of thorns was twisted, perverted as the thoughts were. The piercing of the thorns produced the blood sacrifice for the dying of the old sin thoughts and the birth of the new for revelation.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11). Have you ever thought to ask God what are His thoughts for you for the day, for the week, or even the year? Have you ever thought that God wants to impregnate you with His thoughts? Will you be the channel of instrument that He will use for His expression? He knows the power of your mind, as He is the one who created it. This is evident through the many creative things in the earth that were created out of the earth, the one source. The enemy is in constant warfare for a position in your mind so that he will have access granted to implement his plans.

Suppose God gave you a powerful thought that you could not even utter because it was something that had not even be revealed or heard of in the earth realm. What would you do? For God to even entrust you with such a powerful creative expression, you must have reached a stage of maturity, which indicates that you have the ability to handle and manage this revelation for the kingdom.

While I was working on this article, the thought came to me about my experience when I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I remembered that for three days I heard tongues in my mind before I even spoke one word audibly. The Holy Spirit was working in the mind of my spirit beginning the transformation process. See, what I did not realize was that even though I had received salvation for the new birth of my spirit, my mind was not renewed or regenerated. The truth of the matter is that I pursued God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. I wanted it desperately. I even felt a fire burning within my chest, but what I was hearing captured my attention even the more. “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Personally, I believe that there are storehouses in heaven reserved with our names on them made ready and kept ready for the appointed time of release. I call these throne room downloads.  There are even the ones that our ancestors in the faith did not receive. What a time it is for the Body of Christ to experience His thoughts manifested in our lives.

In the Old Testament, the High Priest wore the Mitre as a crown. On the front of the mitre was a gold plate engraved with the words, ‘HOLINESS TO THE LORD’. This was a contant reminder of the holiness of the covenant between the people of Israel and God. It was always on his forehead so that they would be accepted before God. Ask the Lord to give you a throne room download of His thoughts for you, even for one day. Then prepare yourself to be in position, (Holiness to the Lord) to receive it and watch what happens. The excitement of anticipation will result in a revelation beyond what you could even ask or think.  Only the Creator would have such to share with His creation and that is why they are His thoughts!

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.  (Romans 12:1-2)  The Message.

I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.  Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]  (Romans 12:1-2) Amplified
