THE JOURNEY | Precious Jewels

Precious Jewels
by Becky DeWitt

Are you searching for the perfect gift for the one you love during this season? Did you look all year long or did you just start? The gift has been around for quite some time. The most precious jewel, the gift that was given to us is Jesus. Over two thousand years ago, He left His divinity and stepped into flesh to come into to the earth realm for His greatest treasure, humanity. Wrapped in flesh and swaddling clothes, lying in a manger, He began His earthly existence for the divine purpose of reconciliation through sacrifice because of the great love for us.

During this time of year, many are searching for the perfect gift for the ones they love. The Father gave us the perfect gift, His precious jewel, His only son. The greatest gift that one can give is the gospel, the knowledge of the most holy treasure, Jesus.

Our lives have become so filled with things of the world that many lack the knowledge and understanding of how important we are to the Father. His creation is important to Him. He knows everyone and everything on this blue ball called earth. Yet, in spite of all our sins and rejection of Him, He continues to love, care and provide for us. His love and desire for us has not wavered. His love is unconditional and faithful. “Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” (Psalm 139: 16-17).

The Master plan, the divine plan was written before your existence. Are you aware that God is constantly thinking about you and your position according to that which He has for you? You are just that important to him. Many have rejected Him, because they do not understand the power of His love. Many in the Body of Christ do not even understand the power of His love.

There are so many different precious stones that have been found on this planet and there are those yet to be discovered. Guess what, you are one of them. The world system has placed great value on some of the stones we call jewels, especially the diamond. The irony is that these are only jewels that have been known to man by man. Your worth, your value is determined by the Father. You are a precious jewel in His eyes. Man as of yet has not found the many precious jewels that are deeply embedded in the earth. There are rare stones with significant value that cannot be measured by worldly value. Hidden deeply in secret locations for the appointed time. Beautiful and durable with strength unparallel. The Father has His eye upon them and knows exactly where they are and when they shall come forth to shine with great brilliance that the world had never seen.

Ask the Lord to open your eyes to see as He sees and what He sees. Ask for understanding and interpretation of His divine movements for His people. The sign of the times give us the indication that we are in the eleventh hour. There is the gift, the precious jewel that can be worn and will adorn you for all seasons. “For unto us a child is born, unto a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6).

It is the Word of God, the knowledge of the love of Jesus, which will dig the jewels out of the earth, out of the world system. The greatness of God that is within each jewel is yet to be revealed. They are destined to arise and shine in His glory. He will dig deep for His treasure, rich or poor, and large or small.

Once the precious stone is found and in His hand, His touch will transform so that the shine, the brightness is perfect yet rare. Can you imagine Jesus wearing the breastplate of righteousness as He sits next to the Father in the Holy of Holies? A jewel shining radiantly catches the Fathers eye to the point that He has to turn His head and asks Jesus, “Who is that shining so brightly?” Jesus answers, “That is a new one. I had to dig deep within to get this one.” Suddenly another one begins to shine with a pulse as if it is a heartbeat. The Father says, “I know that one. There have been through many trials and tribulations, but they still worship and praise me. Let’s listen to the sound of the voice and smell odor of the prayers.” The Father’s precious jewel was the gift of Jesus. Will your radiance shine brightly as you are adorned as a precious jewel on the breastplate when Jesus is sitting next to the Father, interceding on your behalf?

“And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of host, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.” (Malachi 4:17)
