That Was Then, This is Now, This Broken Vessel Restored

That Was Then, This is Now, This Broken Vessel Restored by Paulette Harper

Who would have ever thought that God had called me to tell the whole world my story? A woman of God called to endure every set back, adversity and the disappointments that life could bring. But this was exactly the destiny God had for me. I realized that every test and trial I have faced in life was forcing me to go on a journey that God had designed for me long before I was created, a journey filled with tears, headaches, anguish, joy and laughter.

How after been married for 23 years, waking up one day and realizing my Cinderella story had come to an end. It was a humbling experience but one that I had to face. I was treading on unfamiliar grounds, going into a territory that I had absolutely no control over. I faced tremendous challenges in my new journey but I had to trust that God had a better plan and purpose for my life.

Wanting my experiences to help others God begin to confirm I was to write and tell my story of how He brought me through one of the worst times in my life. I can look back and see what I thought was a bad experience was in reality God using that experience to bring Him glory and honor and from that experience a book was conceived.

I had no idea that my book That Was Then, This Is Now, This Broken Vessel Restored was going to be the instrument He would use to minister to those who are in need of encouragement and hope.

I was struggling with condemnation, depressing, oppression and suicidal thoughts. There was an internal war going on that was unseen by many because I learned how to pretend that everything was right. I was in leadership in my church and of course I could tell no one that I was a complete mess. After all first lady has to be perfect, right?

If you’re looking for some juicy gossip my book is not for you. But if you are looking to read how God gave me the victory then get a copy or two. It is truly a story of determination, hope and courage that will transform how you see yourself in the light of trouble.
