INTERVIEW | Rosa Ferguson

Rosa, describe yourself for our visitors.

I am the married mother of two, yes two sets of twins! I have twin sons and twin daughters. I feel truly blessed that I was chosen for such an assignment. I have always loved to read and now that my children are all grown and have left home, I have plenty of time for my literary passions, reading and writing. My husband and I love to travel so we make the most of our weekends by driving to Savannah Georgia or Charleston SC to eat seafood!

How do you find time to connect with God?

I try to start everyday with a Thank You God. When I look at the daily events that happen in my life, big or small, it is then I realize God has taken time to create miracles for me. Those miracles let me know I am always connected to Him

Who are your favorite authors? Favorite books?

I can’t claim a favorite author because there are so many that I haven’t read. But I love reading Virginia DeBerry and Donna Grant. Angels & Demons by Dan Brown and Heavenly Places by Kimberly Cash Tate were two of my all time favorite books to read.

Tell us about your journey to publication

I chose to self publish because of the fear of rejection by mainstream publishers. There is so much to learn about the book business and I needed to get a published book under my belt before tackling a major publishing house.

Tell us about your current book

My first book is LOVED TO DEATH: A Different Kind of Love Story, a short murder mystery. It is a symbolic book that touches on the good, the bad and the ugly of adoption. LOVED TO DEATH is a book about a real subject that I hope is entertaining. It is available on and

Autographed copies are available on my website

How did you come up with ideas for this book?

I love to read, I have an active imagination and I type well. Put those three things together and you have a WRITER The first chapter of LOVED TO DEATH was born from a dream I had one night. The dream stayed with me for a couple days so I wrote it down and the rest, as they say…is history!

What’s next for you?

Where God leads me is what’s next! I am writing the sequel to LOVED TO DEATH and plan to self publish by early fall. I am also working on another book titled MY WILL BE DONE which is also a mystery, as well as my first novel.

Where can visitors find you online?

Hey Rosa, I admire your courage for going ahead and self-publishing your first book. It think too many fantastic authors today are being ignored by the (very, very few) big publishing houses, which means that readers miss out on all that lovely talent.

    You go girl!
