Your spirit begins to bawl uncontrollably, and your soul begins to screech mercilessly. Something is chasing you. You keep running, but your legs have given up. You cannot take another step. You crumble to your knees with the intent of drowning in a pool of obscurity. And a teardrop rolls down your cheek.

Ayo, budding entrepreneur and single mother to a college-age son, Kedar, believes she is too old and set in her ways to be in a relationship at this point in her life; therefore, she definitely is not looking for love.
Obama nomination gives 'goose bumps'

Jakes, the founder and senior pastor of The Potter’s House of Dallas, Texas had this to say about Senator Barack Obama being the first African American in history to lead a U.S. major-party ticket when he claimed the nomination for the Democratic Party for president of the United States.
“However, what I really hope people take away from that night is that this is not just a victory for African Americans, it is a victory for democracy that proves that our country provides possibilities for all people. It is also a sign that a metamorphosis is in progress. Today we saw that Americans respect experience, but are interested in change. I hope that we can somehow merge the best ideas of our differences and emerge with a president who epitomizes our highest and best ideals.”

I am a wife, mother, writer, mentor and a teacher at heart. I am a native of Los Angeles and have been married to my life love for over twenty years. We have five children, one daughter and four sons. I graduated from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles and Southern University in Baton Rouge with a BA in Education. I spent several years as an elementary and preschool teacher and subsequent years working in the social services arena as a program administrator for government and non-profit agencies.
