GOD + ME = ?
Years ago I had the privilege to attend a conference where an internationally known man of God spoke these words, “God plus me equals unlimited possibility. These words are the hidden factor in the life of every Believer. Sometime, the Body of Christ forgets that the Almighty, the Creator of the universe is positioned and lives on the inside of us. It is by His incredible plan that He has deposited His Holy Spirit in each and every one of us. Not only do we need to remember that He is within, but He is the part of us that keeps it all together!

Finding True Value in Your Existence
by Alvin C. Romer
Often I question myself and negotiate terms of achievement to determine viability to that which I deem important to my being. I search myself and try to give meaning to the things that I endeavor to change for the better. These are the yardsticks that I use to measure my worth. I ask myself also –“what am I doing so that others may emulate my actions?” Am I playing a good role for the models that I teach younger folk? What about the principles that I’ve vowed to abide by…am I a true testament to the covenant I made with God to not only spread the Good New, but bring good tidings to those less fortunate?
INTERVIEW | Cheryl Lacey-Donovan
Cheryl, describe yourself for our visitors.
I am the daughter of a southern Baptist pastor. I am a mother and a wife. I have loved to serve people all of my life. Professionally, I am an educator, a mentor, an author, and an internet radio talk show host. I also write a syndicated magazine column entitled Worth More Than Rubies.
God has given me a heart for women who are struggling with life’s trials and tribulations because even when we can’t diagnose our problems, God’s word can bring us healing and wholeness. This is the message that I want to bring to all women. I want them to understand that until they fall in love with Jesus, the chains of sin and bondage will never be broken.
I too had to learn this lesson and I hope to inspire, empower, and encourage others to live in the favor of God daily.

Describe yourself for our visitors.
I am a woman wearing many hats. Mother, wife, employee, writer, poet, and a blessed child of God. To be honest, my ideal time would be curled up on my sofa with a good book. My next favorite thing is spending time with my husband and children, who keep me real busy. I work a full time job in the employment end of social services. So I get to minister to people that may be having a hard time in life. Speaking Encouragement.
African-American Children in Foster Care
NATIONAL CHILD WELFARE LEADERS ENDORSE FEDERAL CALL FOR REFORM TO REDUCE HIGH NUMBER OF AFRICAN-AMERICAN CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE
Washington, DC (BlackNews.com) – Members of the powerful U.S. House Ways and Means Committee heard from leaders and advocates today concerned about disparities in the child welfare system during a Capitol Hill briefing held by the Casey-CSSP Alliance for Racial Equity in Child Welfare (the Alliance).
Citing the need for all children to grow up in safe and caring families with equal access to opportunity, the Alliance has called the recent Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on the over-representation of African-American children in the child welfare system a "clarion call to action" for everyone who cares about the nation’s children and families. Leaders of the Alliance, representing the Casey legacy foundations, commended the GAO and the House Ways and Means Committee for raising awareness about the over-representation of African-American children in foster care and for recognizing this as an urgent problem that requires immediate action.
