THE JOURNEY
I Have Need of You
by Becky DeWitt

A mighty invasion of the Holy Spirit is upon us. Look around and observe those things that are happening in the region. There are mighty occurrences in the realm of the spirit that are affecting the natural world. Jesus is in need of those vessels that will hear His voice in the urgency of this hour. He is in need of the peculiar ones that are set-aside for such a time as this. “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:” (John 15:16). There are many that are chosen for this time hour in certain regions to be a vehicle for His unusual entry. He knows who you are, where you are, and is waiting on you.

Three books in the New Testament, Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, and Luke 19:28-40 record the event called the “Triumphal Entry”. In each account, Jesus is on the way to the city of Jerusalem, but stops in the area called Bethpage. This area was hidden from the city by the height of the Mount of Olives. Has He stopped outside of your city in an area that is hidden? Is He waiting and watching for His vehicle?

He sent the disciples as special messengers. A quick note about special messengers, who are in the New Testament listed under the five-fold ministry that was set up for the Body of Christ. They are called Apostles, who are commissioned and empowered with operating gifts of the spirit by Jesus Christ. The majority of the books of the New Testament that were written by the Apostle Paul, begin with who he was, and his office of an Apostle. Jesus has and is commissioning special messengers for certain areas for His purpose to be revealed in the acceleration and manifestation of His word multiplying of the harvest of souls.

The instructions that He gave to the special messengers were simple. “And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied; whereon never man sat; loose him and bring him.” (Mark 11:2). The enemy ties many into different situations of life through the deception of the world. There are all types of ties. Ties to drugs, ties to alcohol, ties to perverse sexual activity, etc., and all the common ties that are external defining one’s behavior. What about the internal ties, which have formed pockets residing in your spirit which are not visible to the naked eye, but are visible to the spiritual eye, such as rejection and insecurity? Will it take the special messenger to loose you completely so that you can be brought into His presence, knowing that you are worthy, just because He chose you?

Those who operate in deception, perpetrating a fraud cannot complete the assignment. The first reason is that they were not sent. The assignment was not given to them. Second, if there were not sent, and if they find you, you cannot be truly loosed for the Master’s use, because there is no power or gift of the Holy Spirit operating. Third, they cannot take you into the presence of the Lord, because they cannot take you to a place in which they do not know the way or have never been able to locate. We must seek the Father more than ever to sharpen and fine-tune us in the spirit to discern the truth to be revealed. We must see, know, and understand that which is counterfeit and error.

Please note that only in the account in Matthew 21:2, that ye shall find and ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them and bring them unto me.” The word colt means that the animal is young as well as tied. Could this be and indication of generational curses that flow through the family bloodline? Look at the family history. Your father was a drug dealer and so is the son. Your mother was a drunk and so is the daughter. Everyone in the family had families out of wedlock. Jesus wants to loose the whole family!

“And if any man ask you, who do ye loose him? Thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.” (Luke 19:31). Many will ask and question as to how and why it is you who will be chosen for His use. He will use you to enter the same city in which it was known by the multitude the ties that the enemy had on you. But your salvation, your deliverance, and His choice, is what makes you the vehicle that His presence rides upon. The anointing that is upon you will not and cannot be denied because Jesus specifically stated that “never a man sat.” (Mark 11:2). In other words, you never had His presence or power before He sat and descended on you.

This is the hour of truth and God is seeking those true worshippers that will worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23). He is also in need of a body, a broken, willing, and obedient vessel that will be a vehicle to complete the assignment. For those of you who still have a tie, do not question why me. “Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why has thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? (Romans 9:20-21). Do not entertain the thoughts and questions of others. Just know and understand that before you were formed in your mother’s womb, He knew. He sanctified and ordained you, your time, and your purpose.

“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no savior.” (Isaiah 43:7, 10-11).
